July 8th - Prologue (2 km up South Access) ... starts at 6:30 pm with registration starting at 5:30 pm. Location  for Registration is bottom of South Access at the entrance to the Go-Kart Track.

July 9th - ITT (20 km and 10 km) ... starts on North Klondike at Hot Springs Road at 10 pm. Registration at Gas Station startting at 9 am

July 10th - Road Race starting at Jales Corner - 30 km distance for U13 and Recreational riders ends at Kettley's Canyon, 51 km for U15  and 78 km for Expert ends at South Access. Start time 10 am with registration at 9 am at Jakes Corner

Chris Froome has revealed that he missed an out-of-competition doping control earlier this year during a conference call with reporters on Wednesday. The Sky rider said that the missed test took place while on a short break in Italy but did not divulge the precise date of the incident.

Anti-Doping Denmark has finally published its report into doping in Danish cycling between 1998 and 2015, revealing that former team manager Bjarne Riis was complicit in a wide-spread doping operation at Team CSC, that included riders' relationships with Dr Fuentes and his blood doping programme based in Spain.

Tour de France organiser Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) has reportedly threatened to pull its races from the UCI's calendar due to a lack of progress with the proposed reforms. According to Reuters, ASO sent a letter to cycling's governing body stating that it would remove it races from the calendar should the reforms not go ahead.

Elizabeth Wicks Shatters 12-Hour Record

"Oh my God," John, "it was unbelievable."

That's how Elizabeth Wicks summed up her record-breaking ride at Calvin's 12-Hour Challenge on May 2, 2015. She rode 182.0 miles to break her women's age 70-74 record. Not only did she break her personal best of 172.7 miles set two years earlier, but she's getting better as she gets older!

Ian Crane back on bike, piecing life together after horrific 2014 accident

The scars that circumnavigate Ian Crane's skull had only begun to heal when he received the news that he would require another brain surgery.

Crane's horrific accident at the USA Pro Challenge in August - he crashed face-first into the rear window of a race vehicle when it made a sudden stop - has forced him to undergo regular MRI brain scans.

A cyst in his brain, which neurologists first noticed in August immediately following the accident, had ballooned at an alarming rate.

Eddy Merckx celebrates his 70th birthday today, and his unbeatable career is celebrated by cycling fans, former teammates and even current riders around the world. Merckx revealed that his best birthday present was a 70km ride with some of his friends, including the former teammates, who helped him win the 525 races, including Classics and Grand Tours, that make him the most successful rider in the history of professional cycling.

Former UCI president Hein Verbruggen has launched an attack on Brian Cookson, the man currently at the reins of cycling's governing body. In an article on his newly-launched website entitled 'Brian Cookson's frustration,' Verbruggen claims that Cookson was left frustrated by the Cycling Independent Reform Commission's inability to unearth proof of corruption in the UCI's past, and hence was forced to "change his 'cover-ups' mantra into one about 'significant decisions that caused damage to the UCI,' all of which is based on a clearly biased report."

Today marks the 70th birthday of the world's best ever cyclist, Eddy Merckx. Known as the "The Cannibal" for his insatiable hunger for victories, Edouard Louis Joseph Merckx  was born in Meensel-Kiezegem, Brabant  on June 17, 1945. A successful amateur cyclist with 80 wins to his name, including the rainbow jersey in 1964, Merckx turned professional in April 1965 with the Solo-Superia team and quickly set about winning all in front of him.

Jane Eccles


In 2005, a few days after giving birth, Jane and her family were told she had just hours to live. She had contracted Necrotising Fasciitis (NF) and it was very quickly ripping through her body.

Thankfully their prognosis was not correct, but for Jane this was only the first battle of many. Extensive surgery was required to get rid of the NF, one which involved the removal of her abdominal muscles. As she lay in intensive care, it was becoming clear that her physical ability would never be the same again.

Tara Liane's incredible story is not one of how she became paralyzed crashing in a downhill mountain bike race back in 2007 but rather one of determination, drive and the positivity.
